HEROSTOCK was created in 2022, under the name VetStock, on an acreage in SE Lincoln NE. Two local Nebraska bands & 12 local non-profit Veteran focused vendors brought together a group of 100 Veterans/First Responders in an outdoor morton building concert event. Vendor services included resources for housing, mental health, hunting trips, and motorcycle therapy. The feedback was so overwhelming, that the founders decided to put on another event the following year in 2023.
In 2023, VetStock was renamed HEROSTOCK in honor of our Veterans, Active Military, First Responders, and Gold Star family members. Herostock 2023 included 6 singers/bands on stage & 44 vendors supporting over 1,000 heroes in attendance from 16 different states. We realized that healing & support was being accomplished through music, community, resources, family & camaraderie.
2024 we expanded outside Nebraska and went to Rolla MO and Lebanon TN as well as hosting our event in our home state Nebraska. Due to outgrowing our venue we relocated to Country Drive Golf Course. With room to grow we have established this as HEROSTOCK's home. We host a total of over 1600 heroes and supporters and to date have worked with over 140 nonprofits. Additionally our total states requesting HEROSTOCK has reached 38!
Focusing on our home base in Ashland NE, we return to Country Drive Golf Course the home of HEROSTOCK. This will be a two-day event featuring rock and roll bands on the 22nd featuring bands like Deliberately Broken, Die Tired, Gallivant, and the headliner Lockjaw who has been making huge waves in the Texas rock scene!!!
August 23rd will feature country music performances by Kimberly Meyer, South of Center, The Traynr Band, and headliner Nashville recording artist Elvie Shane with his 2021 #1 hit “My Boy”its bound to be an amazing night!!!
***Admission is free to active Military, Veterans, First Responders, and Gold Star Families with show of ID at the gate. For all other guests, tickets start at $20.00. We have 300 primitive camping spots available for $100 so you don't have to leave the fun.
